Barry Britton Rossnowlagh

Barry Britton Rossnowlagh

An accomplished artist & surfer living on the North West coast of Ireland specialising in pen & inks of traditional music, surf & landscapes in his unique Celtic style.

Also known as an architect, interior designer & etcher of glass, Barry is famous among surfers & trad music fans for his annual Intercounty Surf & his annual Ballyshannon Folk Festival posters. The Intercounties has been running since 1968 & the Folk Festival since 1978.

If you’re up in Donegal call into his Britton & Daughters Gallery at the beachfront in Rossnowlagh where you’ll see large selection of his work on display along with some his daughter Easkey’s. If you’re planning a special visit it’s best to phone ahead as hours tend to be flexible – if the “Gone Surfin” sign is up you’re out of luck but if it’s not on show just tap on the window with the big etched wave to the left of the door.
